Dave Welch
Bass Guitar
Dave Welch Born in Boloxi. Ms. a long time ago. I grew up in the Memphis area in a farming community, and started playing guitar at the age of thirteen and have played in small bands since. I picked-up bass guitar to play in one band back in high school and have filled that role ever since. Growing up in the south, I had many musical influences. But my favorites are the old blues players : BB & Albert King, Bobby Bland, Buddy Guy. Then the new ones. Allman Brothers, Stevie Ray, Carlos Santana and so on. Then the other styles of music. I grew up in the "Hair Band" days, even though I have none now, I really enjoyed playing metal music and hard rock. I have a nice collection of equipment that I've obtained over the years. My favorite Bass is a Spector 5-string that my wife bought me a couple of years ago. I play through a Harke system clean. My favorite 6-string is a 1972 Gibson SG through a Marshall JCM 900. I've been playing music with Graham and Kerry for over 12 years and they are great guys. I own and operate a small air conditioning company in the Tampa Bay area. I'm married to a lovely woman named Lisa and am a stepfather to 5 grown children.
